The APG studio potters form the solid core of the Almonte Potters Guild. In order to ensure that the APG can offer a space where equipment and the work of other potters are respected, it is essential that all members have an understanding of basic pottery techniques and the proper usage of studio equipment. Each key-carrying member of the APG is expected to share the many tasks that are essential for the studio to be an efficiently run, happy, clean and healthy place to work. All studio members are expected to take ownership of one or more task(s).
To become a key carrying studio member, you must meet the following requirements:
complete an introductory pottery course at the APG or at another accredited studio
purchase studio hours
you may only use clay that is purchased from the APG
read, sign and abide by the rules specified in the APG member protocol
sign up for a task
In return, each studio potter will receive his/her own shelf space, and a key ensuring access
to the premises, tools, glazes and equipment.
